| Tutor required for Diploma of Management - 15 September 2009 |
| |
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Tutor for the Diploma of Management Course run by Smart Connection Company (SCC).
We require a Tutor to deliver and assess, in conjunction with Guest Lecturers, the Diploma of Management course, with administrative support from our in-house Training Administrator.
Main duties include:
Attend and manage lectures (predominantly based at the SCC offices in South Melbourne).
Deliver and assess the Diploma of Management course utilising online training resources.
Liaise with Training Administrator and manage student progress throughout the course.
Adhere to SCC\\\'s administrative systems regarding the delivery and assessment of the Course e.g.: student attendance, progress reports and training and assessment activity.
Be the focal point for students throughout the course regarding issues related to training resource inquiries and assessment work.
Are you someone who:
1. Is an organised, logical and clear thinker
2. Has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
3. Has the ability to show initiative and be self motivating
4. Is highly motivated, enthusiastic, confident and assertive tutor
5. Has the ability to motivate students
7. Has the capacity to listen and respond to the views of others?
Applicants must have a good standard of IT literacy in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and other relevant applications and good written and verbal communication skills. In addition, effective time management capabilities and team working skills are essential.
As this course is delivered primarily to those in the leisure, recreation and sport sector, a strong understanding of and experience in this sector is also required.
To be considered, applicants should hold the following qualifications:
1. A Diploma in Management or a higher management related qualification
2. Certificate IV TAA (Training and Assessment)
In return you will join a motivated vibrant team, yet have the flexibility that such a contract position offers. Approximately 10 hours per week is required from the tutor. It is expected that the Course will grow significantly so ongoing opportunities are high.
If this sounds like you, apply by emailing your current CV to petere@smartconnection.com.au. Initial telephone enquiries are welcome to Peter Evans or Tricia Phillips on 03 86967500
